Day 1: Tarangire National Park- Game drive

Start your 8 Days Serengeti and Mountain Gorilla Safari. From Arusha, you’ll be picked and transferred to Tarangire National Park for your first game viewing adventure. Arrive in Tarangire and enjoy a game drive in the park. Tarangire National Park is popular for its large herds of elephants that roam its vast wilderness. The Tarangire elephants are accustomed to safari vehicles and they usually move closer to the safari vehicles, you can view them jus a few meters away from your safari vehicle. Apart form elephants, Tarangire National Park is also home to various wildlife species including lions, leopards, buffalos, hyenas, zebras, wildebeest, and various antelope species among others.

Explore the park, and witness its charming beauty and the giant baobab trees that dot the Tarangire wilderness. You’ll continue with your adventure en route to your booked safari lodge. Arrive at the lodge and check-in. Lunch will be served at the lodge before you embark on your afternoon adventure.

After lunch, embark on an evening game drive in Tarangire to witness more of its wildlife. Visit various wildlife hotspots within the park for opportunities to spot wildlife in large numbers. After your adventure, drive back to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Transfer to Serengeti National Park- Afternoon Game Drive

On the second day of your 8 Days Tanzania & Uganda Safari, you’ll transfer to Serengeti National Park. Start your day early in the morning with breakfast at the lodge. After breakfast, depart the lodge and embark on a road transfer to Serengeti National Park. Arrive in Serengeti in time for lunch and continue with your drive to the lodge. Arrive at the lodge and check in. Lunch will be served at the lodge.

After lunch, embark on an evening adventure in the Serengeti plains for excellent wildlife viewing opportunities. Serengeti National Park is a wildlife haven and a renowned destination for Tanzania wildlife Safaris. On this evening game drive adventure in Serengeti National Park, expect to encounter abundant wildlife species including lions, leopards, rhinos, buffalos, elephants, hyenas, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, hippos, crocodiles, gazelles, wildebeests, and several bird species among others. You’ll also explore the vast Serengeti wilderness, and witness its beauty before returning to your lodge at down.

Day 3: Explore the Vast Savannah Plains of Serengeti

Today, you;ll spend your day exploring the vast Serengeti National Park. For those who wish to witness the great wildebeest migration in Serengeti, today offers the best opportunity. Start your day early in the morning with breakfast at the lodge. After breakfast, depart the lodge and embark on a game drive adventure in Serengeti National Park. To witness the large herds of migrating mammals, you’ll follow the migration trails in the park. The migrating mammals usually attract large numbers of big cats, including lions, leopards, hyenas, and leopards, that come to take advantage of the weak and vulnerable migrating mammals. Spotting big cats on this adventure is guaranteed and if lucky enough, you might even witness them as they make a kill.

On your adventure today, you’ll also look out for the iconic African Big Five animals. This adventure will take you through various wildlife hotspots within the park for better wildlife viewing opportunities. Lunch will be enjoyed in between game drives at a scenic spot within the park.

After lunch, you’ll proceed with your exploration of Serengeti National Park. After your immersive wildlife viewing experience. Visit the local Maasai Villages for an immersive cultural experience. You’ll grab an opportunity to learn about the Masai culture and participate in various local activities. After the cultural experience, drive back to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Morning Transfer to Ngorongoro & Game viewing in the Ngorongoro Crater

Start your day early in the morning with a sumptuous breakfast at your lodge. After breakfast, depart the lodge for depart for Ngorongoro Crater. Arrive at Ngorongoro and descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for your wildlife viewing safari in Tanzania. Explore the iconic Ngorongoro Crater to witness its charming beauty and wildlife. The Ngorongoro Crater is home to different wildlife species including lions, leopards, hyenas, buffalos, giraffes, elephants, cheetahs, zebras, and wildebeest among others. As it approaches lunch time, ascend back to the crater rim where your booked safari lodge is located.

Check in at the lodge and enjoy lunch and a short rest. After lunch, embark on another wildlife sightseeing journey into the Ngorongoro Crater. Explore various wildlife hotspots that you might have missed on the morning game drive. Enjoy wildlife viewing in Serengeti and its spectacular beauty.

Later ascend back to the crater rim at the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Morning Game Drive- Transfer to Arusha/Flight to Uganda

Today, start your day with an early morning breakfast at your lodge. After breakfast, embark on a transfer back to Arusha. Arrive at Arusha and proceed with a drive to Kilimanjaro International Airport to catch your flight to Uganda’s Entebbe International Airport.

Arrive at Entebbe International Airport for your Uganda adventure on this 8 Days Serengeti and Mountain Gorilla Safari. You’ll be welcomed by our representatives at the lodge who will then transfer you to your booked safari lodge at Entebbe town.

Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Early in the morning at around 6:00 am, you’ll enjoy breakfast at your hotel as you prepare for your transfer to Bwindi. Your driver guide will arrive just in time to transfer you to Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for a memorable gorilla trekking adventure experience. The journey through Uganda to Bwindi takes you through the country’s scenic countryside where you get plenty of opportunities to witness the stunning sceneries, beautiful rolling hills, and the beautiful Uganda people who are welcoming. You’ll drive past various towns and cities.

Lunch will be enjoyed en route to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Arrive in Bwindi in the late afternoon and proceed to your booked safari lodge. Arrive at the lodge and check in. You’ll spend the rest of the day at your lodge. Dinner and overnight at your lodge in Bwindi.

Day 7: Gorilla Tracking – Batwa Pygmy Cultural Encounter

Start your day with an early morning breakfast at the lodge. After breakfast, depart your lodge and head to the park headquarters where you join groups of other travelers for a briefing session. After the briefing, you’ll venture into Bwindi Forest on foot to search for the endangered mountain gorillas. You’ll trek in the thick impenetrable forest with the thick undergrowth that thrives with diverse plants, mammals, and birds.

After a long trek in the forest, you’ll finally locate the gorillas in the wild. You’ll spend 60 minutes observing mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. You’ll witness these gentle giants mimic human behaviors. Remember to take some photos and videos for memories while with the gorillas. While with the gorillas, your ranger guide will guide you on how to behave to ensure both you and the gorillas are safe during this encounter. After your allocated time elapses, you’ll trek back to the starting point. Return to the lodge to catch your breath before your next adventure to the Batwa community.

After a refreshing meal and a short rest at the lodge, visit the Batwa community for an immersive cultural experience. They are known for their unique way of life and lifestyle that is charming and truly worthy of a visit. The Batwa are very knowledgeable about the forest and its inhabitants.

After your tour, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 8: Transfer back to Entebbe & Drop off

Start your day with breakfast at the lodge. After breakfast, depart the lodge and drive back to Entebbe. This long journey gives you another opportunity to witness Uganda’s spectacular beauty, the rolling hills, and its hospitable people. Arrive in Entebbe in the late afternoon and drop off at your preferred drop off point.
