Detailed 5 Days Queen Elizabeth Wildlife Safari & Kibale Chimpanzee Trekking safari itinerary
Day 1: Travel from Kampala to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Your guide will pick you up from your agreed pick up point and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Make a brief stop at the Equator line along the way. Do an experiment on the geographical forces on the world’s centre line. Later, have lunch enroute and continue with the drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Arrive at Queen Elizabeth in the late afternoon and proceed to your booked safari lodge. Check in at the loge, have dinner, and overnight.
Day 2: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel
Wake up early, go for the morning breakfast, and embark on a game drive in the Queen National Park savannah plains. Have an opportunity to see several wildlife species, including serval cats, lions, elephants, kobs, antelopes, and many more. After about 4 hours searching through several trails, you will then head back to the lodge for lunch before going for an afternoon boat cruise.
The boat cruise on the Kazinga channel is famous for being very rewarding with wildlife sightings with opportunities to see large schools of hippos, crocodiles, birds of Uganda, and other wild animals. Enjoy the boat cruise and spot as much as you can during this experience. After the boat cruise, have a short sunset game drive enroute to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3: Travel to Kibale Forest National Park
Enjoy an early morning breakfast, and go for a game drive to increase your chances of seeing more wildlife. After the game drive, have lunch and later leave Queen Elizabeth National Park for Kibale National Park. On arrival in the evening, drive to your booked safari lodge and check in for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Chimpanzee trekking and visit Bigodi Swamp
Be ready for a morning chimpanzee trekking experience; therefore, wake up early for your breakfast. Carry some drinking water with you. Your driver will then ensure to pick you up for a transfer to the park trekking start point. Have a briefing from the ranger guides on the dos and don’ts of the activity, then join the group for the trek.
Search for the chimpanzees in their natural habitat while spotting several other flora and fauna. On finding the chimpanzees, you will spend an hour with them while you take pictures and ask the guide any questions of your interest.
After tracking you will return to the lodge to refresh and have lunch. Later on in the afternoon, you visit the Bigodi wetland for a nature walk. Later on return to the lodge for refreshment, dinner and overnight rest.
Day 5: Travel back to Kampala
Have early morning breakfast and embark on a 5-6 hours drive back to Kampala with lunch along the way, or connect to Entebbe International Airport for your flight. Your Millennial Adventure safari guide will ensure drop-off at the agreed point.
