Day 1: Arrival in Kigali and hotel transfer.

Arrive at Rwanda’s Kigali International Airport to start this 7 Days Uganda Gorillas & Tanzania Wildlife Safari. You’ll be welcomed and received by our representatives at the airport. You’ll then be transferred to your hotel within Kigali city. Arrive at the hotel and relax.

If time allows, you can do an optional city tour at an extra cost. Later drive to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Travel from Kigali to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park.

Wake up early in the morning and enjoy breakfast at your lodge. After breakfast, your driver guide will pick you up and transfer you to Uganda From Rwanda, you’ll drive up to the Cyanika border post. At the border, you’ll complete your immigration procedures and then continue with your drive to Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Arrive at Bwindi in and proceed with a drive to your booked safari lodge. Arrive at the lodge and check in. While here, you’ll have the first glimpse into the unique Bwindi Ecosystem, and witness the beautiful forest while resting at your lodge. For the more adventurous, there are several optional activities like guided natures walk, birding, and cultural tours which can all be done at an extra cost. Dinner and overnight at your lodge in Bwindi.

Day 3: Gorilla trekking and Batwa community tour.

Today, you indulge in the deep jungles of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park to search for the endangered mountain gorillas. Start your day early in the morning with a sumptuous breakfast at the lodge. After breakfast, head to the park headquarters where your gorilla trekking adventure starts. At the park headquarters, you’ll join groups of other trekkers for a gorilla trekking briefing session. Park officials will take you through the gorilla trekking rules and guidelines, safety tips during gorilla trekking, and what to anticipate during the trek.

You’ll then be put into groups of 8 members, each group will then be allocated a gorilla family that they will be trekking. After the allocation, grab your trekking stack and follow the lead of your driver guide into the forest to search for the endangered mountain gorillas. The forest also has several other forms including mammals, birds, and plants that you’ll discover during your trek. After a long trek in the forest, you’ll finally locate the gorillas in the forest. At this moment, brace yourself for one of the best wildlife encounter ever. Your ranger guide will guide you on how to approach these majestic giants. Enjoy viewing these primates in their natural habitat as they go by their day, witness mothers grooming their young ones, as they feed, all under the watchful eye of the giant silverback. You’ll spend about one hour viewing these majestic primates. After your allocated time elapses, you’ll trek back to the starting point.

You’ll receive a certificate of participation. Your driver guide will then take you back to your lodge where a refreshing meal will be served. After lunch, embark on a cultural experience, visit the Batwa communities. These long inhibitors of the Bwindi Forests are known for their unique culture and way of life. Enjoy interacting with them, participating in cultural performances, and learning about their medicinal plants among others. After your experience, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Travel back to Kigali and fly to Arusha.

Today, you’ll fly to Tanzania for your next adventures on this 7 Days Uganda Gorillas & Tanzania Wildlife Safari. Start your day early in the morning with breakfast, after breakfast, depart the lodge and start your journey back to Rwanda’s Kigali International Airport. At the airport, you’ll board your flight to Kilimanjaro International Airport.

Upon arrival in Tanzania, you’ll be received by our Tanzania representatives at the airport. You’ll then be transferred to your hotel in Arusha. Arrive at the hotel and check in.

There are option activities that you can do while in Arusha like a city tour around Arusha, Tanzania’s tourism capital. You can also just spend the rest of your day relaxing at the lodge. Dinner and overnight stay at Arusha.

Day 5: Transfer to Serengeti National Park.

Today, start your adventure in Tanzania with a transfer to Serengeti National Park. After breakfast at your hotel in Arusha, embark on a road transfer to Serengeti National Park. You’ll drive for about 4 to 5 hours from Arusha to Serengeti National Park.

Upon arrival at Serengeti National Park, continue with a drive to your booked safari lodge in Serengeti National Park. Arrive at the lodge ad check in. Lunch will be served at the lodge. After lunch, embark on your first adventure in Serengeti on this 7 Days Uganda Gorillas & Tanzania Wildlife Safari.

Embark on an evening game drive to discover Serengeti’s natural wonders. Serengeti National Park is renowned for its large wildlife population, especially for the iconic African Big Five Animals (lion, leopard, buffalo, and elephant) and the spectacular wildebeest migration. Although most travelers to Serengeti look out for the Big Five African Animals, you will also come across various wildlife species like giraffes, hippos, hyenas, cheetahs, zebras, and gazelles among others. Your adventure in Serengeti today will be concluded with a spectacular view of the vast savannas turn golden as the setting sun casts a golden shadow. Later return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 6:  Full day adventure in Serengeti National Park.

Start your day early in the morning with breakfast. After breakfast, depart your lodge with a packed lunch for a full-day adventure in Serengeti National Park. This day grants you opportunities to witness the African Big Five animals and the spectacular wildebeest migration. Your driver guide will take you to various wildlife hotspots in the park for opportunities to witness lions, buffaloes, cheetahs, elephants, rhinos, gazelles, wildebeests, warthogs, antelopes, zebras, giraffes and so many others. For opportunities to witness the spectacular wildebeest migration unfold in Serengeti National Park, you’ll follow the migration trail in the park.

You’ll have a lunch break and enjoy lunch at a scenic spot within the park. After lunch proceed with your adventure in Serengeti National Park. Enjoy viewing more wildlife species in the park while visiting new places that you didn’t visit on the previous game drives.

As your day comes to a close, drive back to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 7: Transfer to Arusha & Departure

Wake up and enjoy breakfast at your lodge. After breakfast, start your journey back to Arusha Have breakfast check out of the lodge, and travel back to Arusha. You’ll arrive in Arusha in time for lunch and enjoy lunch at one of the city’s fancy restaurants. After lunch, your driver guide will then drive you to your preferred drop-off point (Airport or Hotel in Arusha).
