Day 1: Transfer from Entebbe/ Kampala to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
On the first day of our 3-day Uganda Gorilla Trekking Safari, you will enjoy an early morning breakfast and embark on a 9-hour journey to South-Western Uganda. On your way, stop at the Equator in Kayabwe town for photography, the Equator experiments. Do an Equator line crossing on foot.
Refresh with a cup of coffee from local cafes around the area or cold drinks, and continue your way to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. On arrival at your destination, take time to relax, have a well-made dinner at your Lodge/accommodation, and rest overnight.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Forest National Park
On the second day of our Uganda Gorilla trekking safari, you will rise early in the morning, have your breakfast on time, then with the help of your day’s guide, he/she will lead you to the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park headquarters for a briefing about the Trek before heading out to Bwindi Forest. You will carry a packed lunch from your Lodge/accommodation because you could spend long hours doing the trek. This activity takes 5-8 hours for visitors to find silverbacks and their families, depending on their current location. Carry enough water for constant hydration during hiking.
Stay within 7-10 meters away from the assigned gorilla family to ensure safety for trackers. Wear a face mask when in the midst of gorilla territory since they share more than 99% of their DNA with humans.
After your one hour with the gorillas, you will then trek back to the starting point and meet your guide waiting to take you back to your accommodation.
