Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
From either Entebbe or Kampala, you’ll be picked up by your Ugandan safari driver guide to embark on a transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park to start your 7 Days Kenya Wildlife & Uganda Gorilla Safari. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is located in the southwestern part of the country and takes approximately 8 – 9 hours from Entebbe or Kampala. This long journey to the southwestern part of Uganda takes you through the scenic countryside, witnessing its dramatic landscapes, natural beauty, and local people.

You’ll truly witness where this country gets its bragging rights as the pearl of Africa. You will have a stopover at the equator in Kayabwe for photos and the equator experiment before proceeding with your journey through Mbarara town. Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, arriving in the early evening. Arrive at Bwindi and continue with your drive to your booked safari lodge. Arrive at the lodge and check in.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi and community visit
Start your day early in the morning with breakfast at the lodge. After breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a short briefing. You’ll be joined by other trekkers for a briefing session where you will be instructed on the dos and don’ts while trekking gorillas in the forest, safety tips during the trek, and the gorilla trekking rules and guidelines. After the briefing session, you’ll grab your trekking stick and follow your guide to the forest to search for the endangered mountain gorillas.
The trek can last anywhere between 2 to 5 hours, through thick forests with challenging terrain and thick undergrowth. After trekking for a while, you’ll finally locate the gorillas in the wild and enjoy a life changing encounter with them. You’ll spend a maximum of 1 hour observing the mountain gorillas in the wild. When your time with the gorillas elapses, start your trek back to the visitors center where you will receive your certificate of participation.
Your driver guide will then transfer you back to the lodge. Enjoy a refreshing meal at the lodge and a short rest. In the evening, embark on an immersive cultural experience, and visit the local Batwa Communities. You’ll get an opportunity to visit their homes and enjoy their traditional dance, meals, and artwork. Later return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Full Day Safari Viewing in Masai Mara
Today, you will have an opportunity to explore the iconic Masai Mara National Reserve. Start your day early in the morning with a delicious breakfast at the lodge. After breakfast, depart with your lunch boxes for a full day adventure in Masai Mara National Reserve. Masai Marar National Park is a renowned wildlife viewing destination in the world and perhaps the most popular wildlife viewing destination in Kenya. Its iconic wilderness inhabits large numbers of wildlife species that are sought after by most travelers on their wildlife safari vacations, especially the African Big Five animals (lion, leopard, rhino, buffalo, and elephant). Besides the iconic African Big Five, the Mara is also home to spectacular natural wonders like the Great wildebeest migration where millions of mammal grazers especially wildebeest move in search of water and nutrient-rich grass in a circular pattern across the Mara Serengeti ecosystems.
On your full day adventure today, you’ll explore various wildlife hotspots for opportunities to see lions, leopards, rhinos, buffalos, elephants, crocodiles, zebrass, giraffes, cheetahs, hyenas, gazelles, and wildebeest among others.
