Day 01: Arrival in Tanzania

Arrive at Tanzania’s Kilimanjaro International Airport for your 9 Days Wildlife Safari in Tanzania. Upon arrival at the airport, you will be received and welcomed by one of our representatives. You’ll then embark on a transfer to your booked hotel within Arusha. On the way to your hotel, you will be briefed about this 9 Days Tanzania Wildlife safari holiday tour. Arrive at the hotel and check-in.

Depending on the time of arrival, you can embark on a guided tour in Arusha or just rest at the hotel, relaxing and unwinding from the long haul flight from home.

Day 02: Travel to Arusha National Park & Do Game drives

Wake up early in the morning and enjoy breakfast at your lodge. Depart the lodge after breakfast with your lunch boxes and drive to Arusha National Park for your first wildlife sightseeing experience on this classic 9 days safari tour in Tanzania. Arrive at the park and enjoy your first game drive. Arusha National Park is one of the smallest national Parks in Tanzania spanning only about 137 km², however, this hidden game is a great safari place to visit for wildlife viewing safari. Arusha National Park is home to zebras, giraffes, buffalos, elephants, hippos, and various bird species that you’ll witness during your game drive adventure here.

Continue with your adventure in Arusha National Park in the afternoon. You can also opt for a community walk that allows you to explore local markets or a cycling adventure for the more adventurous travelers. Late after your adventure, drive back to Arusha where your hotel is located for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 03: Transfer to Tarangire National Park & Game drives

Start your morning with an early morning breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, depart your hotel and embark on a journey to Tarangire National Park, your next destination on this 9 Days Wildlife Safari in Tanzania. The drive from Arusha to Tarangire National Park is short and takes only about 2 hours through the scenic countryside. Enjoy witnessing Tanzania’s natural beauty and spectacular landscapes. Arrive at Tarangire National Park and enjoy your first adventure in the park.

Tarangire National Park is a famous wildlife viewing destination in Tanzania and the world at large, especially for its large elephant herds that come close to safari vehicles. While here, you’ll enjoy witnessing these majestic animals just a few meters from your safari vehicle – a rare opportunity to encounter one of Africa’s most iconic species in their natural habitat, close and so personal. Day 04: Transfer to Lake Manyara National Park & Mto wa Mbu visit

After breakfast at your lodge, embark on a transfer to Lake Manyara National Park. Drive northwest of Tarangire National Park for about 2 hours, across stunning Tanzania landscapes – enjoy witnessing Tanzania’s stunning landscapes and natural beauty along the way. You’ll stop at Mto wa Mbu for an immersive cultural experience before finally proceeding to your lodge in Lake Manyara National Park.

Arrive at you’re lodge in Manyara and check in. Lunch will be served at the lodge, enjoy lunch before embark on an afternoon thrilling wildlife viewing adventure in Lake Manyara National Park.

After lunch, embark on an afternoon game drive in Lake Manyara National Park. Lake Manyara National Park is popular for its unique tree-climbing lions that usually lounge on the acacia tree branches. You’ll explore various sections of this park for opportunities to see its resident wildlife including leopard, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, buffalo, hyena, cheetah, hippopotamus, blue wildebeest, baboon, vervet monkey, bushbaby, dik-dik, impala, and the kongoni among others that call this place home. Enjoy exploring the lake area for opportunities to spot different bird species too.

As your day draws to a close, drive back to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 05: Transfer to Serengeti & visit to Olduvai Gorge

Wake up early in the morning and enjoy breakfast at the lodge. After breakfast, check out of the lodge and start your journey to the iconic Serengeti National Park. The drive to Serengeti National Park from Lake Manyara takes approximately 5 – 6 hours. The journey takes you through the scenic Rift Valley and Maasai villages, from here you will continue with the drive reaching the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Visit the Olduvai Gorge, a museum located near the site where archaeologists Louis and Mary Leaky discovered the Homo habilis in the 1960s.

After an educative experience at Olduvai Gorge, continue with your drive to Serengeti National Park. Arrive at Serengeti National Park and drive to your booked safari lodge or camp. Arrive at the lodge and check in, lunch will be enjoyed at the lodge. At the lodge enjoy the stunning views of the surroundings or just relax and unwind in your room.

Day 07: Full day adventure in Serengeti National Park

Wake up early in the morning and enjoy breakfast at the lodge. After breakfast, go for a sunrise game drive in Serengeti. For those who wish to witness the iconic wildebeest migration, today offers great opportunities to follow the migration trails for an exciting wildebeest migration sightseeing adventure. You’ll witness large herds of wildebeest and their entourage as they traverse the vast Serengeti wilderness.

Serengeti National Park is also home to large numbers of other wildlife species including the iconic African Big Five Animals (lion, leopard, rhino, buffalo, and elephant), giraffes, hyenas, cheetahs, African Wild Dogs, hippos, Nile crocodiles, wildebeest, zebras, and warthogs among others. Enjoy witnessing all these species while on your game drive safaris here.

Stop for a lunch break in between the game drives and enjoy lunch at a scenic spot in the park. After lunch, continue with your exploration of Serengeti National Park. Day 7: Morning game drive in Serengeti & transfer to Ngorongoro

Wake up early in the morning and enjoy breakfast at the lodge. After breakfast, depart your lodge for a short wildlife game drive in the Serengeti plains for an opportunity to witness wildlife once more, especially species that you might have missed the previous day. Visit different wildlife hotspots that you didn’t visit the previous day for opportunities to spot all the species that you might have missed seeing during previous game drives. After your morning adventure in Serengeti, drive back to the lodge. Lunch will be served at the lodge. After lunch, refresh and check out of your lodge.

Embark on a drive to your next destination on this 9 Days Wildlife Safari in Tanzania, the Ngorongoro Crater. Enjoy your drrive passing by the Ngorongoro Conservation Area one of the wildlife-rich areas in Tanzania. Enjoy viewing different wildlife here before continuing with your drive to the crater rim where your safari lodge is located.

Arrive at your lodge and check in. Spend the rest of your afternoon relaxing and unwinding at the lodge.

Day 08: Full day safari in Ngorongoro Crater 

Wake up early in the morning and enjoy breakfast at the lodge. After breakfast, depart the lodge for a full-day adventure in the Ngorongoro Crater. The world’s largest intact volcanic caldera ‘‘the Ngorongoro Crater.’’ Ngorongoro Crater is also a UNESCO World Heritage site and a world natural wonder, teeming with large numbers of wildlife all year round. The Crater floor encompasses different ecological zones that inhabit various wildlife species including lions, leopards, rhinos, buffaloes, elephants, giraffes, hyenas, and cheetahs among others. Thousands of visitors each year visit Ngorongoro for excellent wildlife viewing experiences and an opportunity to witness its uniqueness and other biodiversity.

Enjoy driving through various trails on the crater floor witnessing different wildlife species while marveling at the stunning beauty of the Ngorongoro Crater. When it approaches time for lunch, you will enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic but safe spot in the crater.

After lunch, continue with your exploration of the Ngorongoro crater. As your day ends, ascend back to the crater rim to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 09: Travel back to Arusha & Departure

Today marks the end of this classic 9 Days Wildlife Safari in Tanzania. Wake up lazily and enjoy breakfast at your lodge. After breakfast, depart the lodge and start your drive back to Arusha. Lunch will be en route. Arrive in Arusha in the late afternoon and drop off at your preferred drop-off location (Hotel or Airport).
