Detailed Itinerary of the 3 Days Uganda Gorilla Trekking Safari

Day 1: Transfer from Entebbe/ Kampala to Bwind Impenetrable National Park

Enjoy an early morning breakfast and embark on a 9 hour journey to South Western Uganda. On your way stop by the Equator at Kayabwe for photography. Do an Equator line crossing on foot.

Refresh with a cup of coffee from local cafes around the area or cold drinks and continue with your to Bwindi. On arrival at your final destination, take time to relax, have a well made dinner and rest overnight.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Forest National Park

Rise up early in the morning , eat your breakfast in time and head to Bwindi Forest. Carry packed lunch from your accommodation because you could take long hours doing the trek. This activity takes 5-8 hours for visitors to find silverbacks and their families. Carry enough water for constant hydration during the hiking.

Stay within 7-10 meters away from the assigned gorilla family to ensure safety for trackers. Wear a face mask when in the midst of gorilla territory since they share more 99% of their DNA with humans.

After your one hour with the gorillas you will then trek back to the starting point and meet your guide awaiting to take you back to your accommodation.

Day 3: Transfer back to Kampala/Entebbe

After an early morning Breakfast, you will embark on the journey back to Kampala/Entebbe. Enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way as sum up your Uganda gorilla trekking safari. The drive back is approximately 9 hours.
