Covering approximately 392 square kilometers, the park is best known for its spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak, which forms a dramatic backdrop to the park’s open plains and swamps. Amboseli has an endless underground water supply flowing from the melting ice-capped mountain Kilimanjaro, filtered through thousands of feet of volcanic rock from mountain Kilimanjaro, which funnels into two clear water springs in the heart of the park.

Lake Nakuru National Park is well known for its Pink flamingo birds, the black and white rhinos, big game, Rothschild giraffes, birdwatchich and the park’s diverse landscapes—including acacia woodlands, rocky escarpments, grasslands with scenic viewpoints like Baboon Cliff.
