Day – 1: Arrival at Entebbe Airport / Transfer to Kampala.
Day – 2: Transfer to Murchison falls national park via Ziwa rhino sanctuary.
Day – 3: Murchison Falls Game drive and the Nile boat cruise to the bottom of the falls.
Day – 4: Transfer to Kibale National Park.
Day – 5: Kibale National Park chimpanzee tracking, Bigodi Wetland walk.
Day – 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Day – 7: Queen Elizabeth game drive and Kazinga channel boat cruise safari.
Day – 8: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Day – 1: Arrival at Entebbe Airport / Transfer to Kampala.

Upon arriving at Entebbe International Airport (EBB) on your first day of our 10-day Uganda wildlife safari and Gorilla highlights Adventure, you will be welcomed by our well-informed Nirvana Safaris driver/ guide, who will brief you about the safari.
Depending on your arrival time, you will be given a brief city orientation, or you may relax at the shores of Lake Victoria or be transferred to your hotel or accommodation to get ready for day 2 of our ultimate safari.

Day – 2: Transfer to Murchison falls national park via Ziwa rhino sanctuary.

After an early morning breakfast, our driver will pick you up from your hotel/accommodation and embark on your journey North of Uganda to Ziwa Rhino sanctuary, the only place in Uganda to track rhinos on foot and one of the few places in the world to see the Rhinoceros (white rhino).
Then continue and make an en route stopover for lunch before proceeding to Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s oldest and Largest National Park. You will drive to the top of Murchison Falls to have an elevated view of the falls, then later in the evening, arrive at your lodge, where you will have dinner and spend the night.

Day – 3: Murchison Falls Game drive and the Nile boat cruise to the bottom of the falls.

On the third day of our 10-day Uganda wildlife safari and gorilla trekking, you will have an early morning breakfast, meet up with your driver and tour guide for a briefing before setting out to the park for your morning game drive. Drive across the northern savannah plains, home to elephants, lions, giraffes, buffaloes, leopards, hartebeests, and numerous antelope species.
In the afternoon, return to the lodge for lunch, and after lunch, you will enjoy an amazing boat cruise along the River Nile to the dramatic Murchison Falls. Along the river, you will be able to see Elephants feeding in the river, Nile crocodiles, and numerous bird species, then return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day – 4: Transfer to Kibale National Park.

On the fourth day of our 10-Day Uganda wildlife safari and Gorilla trekking, you will have an early morning breakfast, meet up with Nirvana Safaris’ driver and guide for the day’s briefing, before setting off to Kibale National Park, the home to Chimpanzees, also known as the primate capital of East Africa, inhabited by over 13 primate species.
This journey takes over 6 – 7 hours by car while enjoying stunning views of the ancient traditional villages, rolling hills, and the Rwenzori ranges.

Day – 5: Kibale National Park chimpanzee tracking.

This day is a highlight for all the primate lovers. After breakfast, you will go to the park headquarters for a briefing by the park rangers and guides on the tracking of the chimpanzees in Kibale National Park. You will then embark on the trek, which will take between 1 – 6 hours depending on the location of the chimpanzee families. Meanwhile, you will be able to view over 13 other primate species, a dense birdlife, and numerous plant and animal species.

Day – 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

You will enjoy your early morning breakfast with an amazing view of the Rwenzori ranges before embarking on your journey of a 3 – 4 hour drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, known for its diverse ecosystem. Upon arrival at your lodge in Queen Elizabeth NP, you will have lunch and take a break.
Depending on the arrival time, you can decide whether to rest till the following day for the morning drive or be given a short game introduction in the nearby areas.

Day – 7: Queen Elizabeth game drive and Kazinga channel boat cruise safari.

After an early morning breakfast on the seventh day of our 10-days Uganda wildlife safari and gorilla trekking adventure, your Nirvana Safaris driver will pick you up from your lodge to start an early morning game drive in the Kasenyi area, commonly known for its large numbers of wildlife and predators.
After the game drive, you will have lunch at the lodge and then move out to go and experience the Kazinga channel boat cruise for 2 hours. The Kazinga channel connects Lake Edward to Lake George, and it’s famously known for its dense population of hippos and crocodiles. The tour provides a safe viewing of the animals.

Day – 8: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via Ishasha sector.

After an early morning Breakfast at your lodge on our eighth day of the 10-day Uganda wildlife safari and gorilla trekking adventure, you will drive south of Queen Elizabeth National Park to the Ishasha sector, commonly famous for the Tree-Climbing lions.
After the morning game drive, you will continue your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, also known as the world capital for Mountain Gorillas, which is nearly half of the world’s remaining Mountain Gorillas.
Overnight: Rushaga Gorilla camp/lodge.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

Day – 9: Gorilla tracking and trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.

Following an Early morning breakfast at your accommodation, transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park Headquarters to be briefed by the park rangers and your day’s guide, before starting your ultimate Gorilla tracking adventure with experienced gorilla trackers and guides.
The trek through the dense rainforest canopy and up the steep climbs can take about 2 – 6 hours or more, depending on the movements and location of the gorilla families. The whole adventure through the dense forest gives you a breathtaking scenic experience and beautiful bird songs throughout the whole trek. You will get an opportunity to spend one magical hour standing close and observing the endangered mountain gorilla family, watching them as they feed and play in their family groups.
There is up to 90% – 99% guaranteed success of viewing the rare, endangered Mountain gorillas while on your Gorilla tracking. After that one in a lifetime experience, you will take a late afternoon guided Batwa cultural and community tour on what is called the Batwa trail, learn and interact with the original Bwindi forest dwellers

Day – 10: Transfer back to Entebbe / Kampala.

Following your morning breakfast on the final day of our 10-day Uganda wildlife safari and gorilla trekking adventure, you will begin your return journey to Kampala/Entebbe, enjoying the lush countryside landscape that transforms into hills and terraced farmland. Arrive in the evening with unforgettable memories, coming face to face with the mighty mountain Gorillas.
