Detailed itinerary

DAY 1: ARRIVE AT ENTEBBE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT. CONNECT TO YOUR WITH YOUR DOMESTIC FLIGHT TO KIHIHI AIRSTRIP. MEET YOUR GUIDE AT KIHIHI AIRSTRIP AND TRANSFER TO YOUR ACCOMMODATION IN QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK.

Upon arrival at Entebbe International airport. You will connect with your domestic flight to Kihihi Airstrip where you will meet your safari guide and proceed to Queen Elizabeth National park. The drive is approximately 1 hour.

Queen Elizabeth National Park, located in southwestern Uganda, is the second largest National Park in Uganda spanning approximately 1,978 square kilometers (764 square miles). Established in 1952, the park was originally named Kazinga Channel National Park but was later renamed Queen Elizabeth National Park in honor of a visit by Queen Elizabeth II of England.

The park features a variety of landscapes, including savannahs, wetlands, forests, and lakes. It is home to the famous Kazinga Channel, a natural waterway that connects Lake Edward and Lake George, providing a rich habitat for numerous species. The breathtaking views of the Rwenzori Mountains to the north add to the park’s scenic charm.

Dinner and overnight at Enjojo Lodge

Enjojo Lodge, named after the local term for “elephant,” has a unique history—the land where the lodge now stands was the birthplace of an elephant during its construction. Nestled amidst abundant greenery and a lush acacia forest, the lodge offers a tranquil retreat with seven luxury self-contained cottages. Four of these cottages are set within the verdant vegetation, while three overlook the expansive savannah plains. Each cottage features an ensuite bathroom with 24-hour running water and a spacious veranda, providing a perfect spot to relax and take in the natural beauty surrounding you.

DAY 2: MORNING GAME DRIVE AND BUSH BREAKFAST. AFTERNOON GAME AND SUNDOWNER.

Enjoy a morning Game drive after  morning game drive, treat yourself to a unique bush breakfast in a secluded spot within the park. A fine dining experience awaits, complete with various snacks and drinks, and a personal chef ready to prepare any hot meals you desire.

Return to the Lodge for relaxation and later head out for a sundowner experience.

End your evening game drive with a delightful sundowner experience. A mini buffet of hot and cold drinks and snacks is set up for you to enjoy while watching the sunset over the savannah. As the day fades, you’ll see animals returning to their homes and nocturnal creatures starting to emerge.

The sundowner provides beautiful sightings of the sun setting and also different animals as they ascend to their homes for the night and the nocturnal animals begin to come out of their hideouts.

DAY 3: TRANSFER BACK TO KIHIHI AIRSTRIP FOR A DOMESTIC FLIGHT TO ENTEBBE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT.
