3 Days Chimpanzee Trekking Kibale Safari
The 3 day chimpanzee safari in Kibale Forest National Park is the ideal package for primate lovers. The Forest is a premier location for chimpanzee trekking in East Africa with a population of about 5,000 chimps.
The important ecotourism and safari destination is located in Southern Uganda in a region called Kibale. The is 766 square kilometres (296 sq mi) in size and is 1,100 metres (3600ft) to 1600 metres (5200ft) in elevation.
Tour Plan
Day 1
Your safari will begin with our driver/guide picking you from Kampala for a 4-hours drive to Kibale Forest National Park which is located in the Western Uganda. You will drive along the Mubende-Fortportal route which offers you a beautiful scenery. Fortportal lies in the shadow of the legendary Rwenzori mountains which form a fascinating backdrop to the magnificent volcanic landscape.
Day 2
After an early morning breakfast you will be driven to the park headquarters. Here you will have a briefing from experienced park rangers on how to conduct yourself for a prosperous chimpanzee tour. You will watch the chimpanzees in their natural habitat swinging from the branches in the high canopy above the forest flour, playing, feeding, and bonding.
Day 3
On the last day of your chimpanzee trekking safari tour in Kibale Forest, you will have breakfast and then embark on a guided nature/birding walk in the forest before embarking on a drive back to Kampala – Uganda’s capital.
